Events & Workshops
Hillside Nursery offers simple inspiration and meaningful moments that they hope you will enjoy. Other special events, tours or workshops can be arranged whenever possible and can accommodate large and small groups including charter buses for garden clubs, scouting groups, school groups and community organizations. They have also provided Living Color Fundraisers that can be profitable and simple.

Countdown To Spring 2026 Facebook Event

An annual Facebook Event Beginning March 9th and running till yes, that's right . . . SPRING! Hillside will prove that spring is just around the corner and also show off some beautiful tantalizing color and spring fashion that will bring just a bit . . . no, A LOT-A-BIT OF EXCITEMENT as the March calendar progresses on.

28th Annual Open House
May 2nd
This event is one of the most exciting days of the whole season. Temperatures are usually beginning to warm and we can celebrate new beginnings. You're invited to this free annual family fun event with food, refreshments and prizes and so much more.
Explore the greenhouses brimming with color and find just the right gift in our newly expanded shop. Come and see what's new and don't forget to experience "The Little Farm" with cute baby animals.

Beginning Early May
Kids Day is recognized on various days in many places around the world. At Hillside Nursery we like to say that it is "KIDS DAY EVERYDAY!" Much of the the experience here centers around simply having fun. To help kids enjoy nature around them our staff quite often provides them with a special gift from Gerry and Sandy. (Hillside Nursery Owners and Growers) Kids will want to return time and time again.

Mother's Day Celebration

Saturday, May 9th - Balloons By Kevin will be here once more from 10am to Noon
Our Mother's Day Celebration has been enjoyed by many. Our festivities will begin Monday morning at 9am. See the information above. Then we couldn't have our celebration without Balloons By Kevin. His talent is a blessing and is a treat for the young and young at heart.

Succulent & Terrarium Bar

Growing Succulents and other miniatures of all kinds has been one of our favorite Hillside venture. We speicialize in growing around 52 different varieties and through the years we have learned so much about them and we just love to share them with others.
This event is for individuals of all ages! Whether young or seasoned we would like to make a great space for you and family or friends to make a special creation all your own. Your welcome to bring your own container or our wonderful gift shop has many to choose from as well. We will be availble to help along the way and answer questions you may have about these amazing plants. Come for the fun!!!
